Setting Up the Tracking Links

The basic layout for the ClickMagick user dashboard is reasonably easy to follow, providing obvious sections for links, rotators, pop ups, bars and timers. The process starts with setting up your links.

This is where you can define the maximum number of clicks (defining a backup URL); defining the traffic cost on a CPC, CPA, daily or monthly basis; setting up your geotargeting parameters on either a whitelist or blacklist basis; and adding retargeting and other pixels.

Pop Ups and the MagickBar

It would be impossible for me to go over every feature that ClickMagick, so I will highlight one of the most important. They call it “Money Layer Technology” and what it does is allow you to display your own custom information on top of any website. This technology comes in three forms: the MagickPop, Countdowns and the MagickBar.

The example that I’m displaying here is the MagickPop and it is a custom pop-up for my book, Beyond the Margins , that I am overlaying on the official Apple iPhone website. That’s right. The MagickBar works in a similar way, adding a notification bar to the top of any website. You can use it to include whatever information you’d like, including the aforementioned Countdown feature, as well as opt-in forms.
