Hey lovely, how are you enjoying the weather? Finally, here in England we are getting some sun, though, I am not quite sure on the temperature but to us it is warm enough to give us burns. For once, I am blogging outside whilst trying to get myself a tan - or burn.
Nika is here this Friday, whom actually reminded me yesterday about Nika Friday, because honestly, I am not caught up with the days. A day is a day to me. No schedule - nothing. Even my make-up and beauty ritual is gone downhill, well why would you put a lot of make-up on when you have a pale face whiter than Snow Whites?
Speaking of beauty rituals, have you ever tried tightlining your eyes?
What is Tightlining, you ask? Read on and find out.
Tightlining and how to do it
It's a life changing beauty technique, that will alter the way you do your beauty routine. And you must have heard this line a thousand times before, but once you try it, you’ll know that your approach towards beauty has changed forever. Whit the right tools of the job, anyone can master it, and it will prove beneficial, in those occasions when you’re in a hurry, but you have to manage to look stunning in no more than few minutes.
So, what it’s all about and how to become an expert in tightlining? To find answers to these questions, have a bit of patience, and read the text bellow.
What’s all the fuss about?
This is a simple trick which refers to applying your liner right in between your lashes. It’s a great way to fake a natural look, you know, when you want to go all “I’m wearing no makeup and flaunting with it”. By putting just a bit of liner in that special spot, you’re giving your eyes definition and making your lashes look ticker.
Believe me, everyone will be jealous on your all natural captivating eyes, and you’ll accomplish even greater wonder, if you combine it with some natural foundation or BB crème as the ones I found with Jane Iredale makeup.
Get it right
This is a precise technique, as all that have to do with your eyes. You really don’t want to get messy there, right? So, let’s start. Ingredients: calm hands, mirror and a long-lasting liner.
-
First step is to make sure your hands are properly clean. This is a really sensitive part of your face, you don’t want to risk with it. You’ll have to pull your eyelid area, so you could have a proper “inside to the picture”.
-
You must see the area with which you’re working with, which is the area beneath the root of the lashes. It may be helpful to slightly tilt your head in order to have a better view.
-
This step is crucial. Now you should, with your chosen liner, stroking or dabbing it along your waterline, and really carefully in between the roots of your lashes. Try to apply it like that, that at the end of the task you don’t have visible skin in the area.
-
If you’ve done everything right, this is the step when you admire your work. Your lashes should look darker, thicker and fuller. Wait a few minutes before continuing with your regular skin routine, and avoid blinking for as long as you can.
Choosing your “weapon”
It’s impossible to accomplish the right effect without having the best makeup for the job. Your color of choice should be black, to get that desired dark effect, but you may also opt for dark brown liner. Waterproof liner is a must. Maybe it won’t rain, and you’re sure you won’t cry, but that particular area of your eye is a pretty wet environment, and your liner should be able to cope with it. The best liners are ones with creamy but long-lasting structures, but you may also use gel liner on a brush.
Steady hand + quality liner + tightlining = captivating natural look. Voila! ;)
Much love,
